Where should we stay?
We'd love for all our guests to stay at our host resort The Fives Beach Hotel & Residences. We want our wedding celebration to be a vacation experience for everyone and we'd love to spend some time with you outside the Wedding Day, be that at the pool, by sharing a few meals and drinks together or maybe even experiencing an excursion as a group. We have set aside a block of discounted rooms (minimum 3-night stay) at this resort and we ask that you make your reservation through our travel coordinator MarieSam.
When should we arrive?
You've traveled all this way, so you might as well make a vacation out of it and join us as early as possible. Our room block is available from May 6 to 12, 2024. And the Wedding Day is on Saturday, May 11th. We recommend that you arrive at least 1 to 2 days before the Wedding Day. But please come and stay as long as you'd like.
What should I wear to the wedding?
Wedding Dress Code: Beach chic
It's going to be hot and we want you to be comfortable. A sun dress, or collared shirt and nice shorts is perfect. If you prefer to dress up, that works too! Also, feel free to bring some fun accessories for nighttime!
What do we do about transportation in Mexico?
Shuttle transportation to and from the Cancun Airport and The Fives is include with your hotel stay if booked through the room block. If you would like any private transfers or to plan an off-site excursion, please ask our travel coordinator MarieSam for information and assistance on that request.
On the day of the wedding, we will be providing transportation from The Fives to the wedding venue, and back to The Fives after the celebration.
Do you we have to stay at The Fives Beach Hotel & Residences? Can we stay somewhere else and still attend your wedding?
You can certainly stay elesehwere, however, if you'd like to attend any pre-wedding festivities it's best to stay at our host resort. We'd also love to spend time with you outside of the wedding day.
What is the weather like? What should we pack for our trip?
Cancun, Mexico is typically warm and humid -- temperatures are usually in the 80s in January. We recommend bringing light summer clothing and swimsuits. But also bring a light sweater for the evenings. Other helpful essentials include sunblock, mosquito repellent, water shoes, swim coverups, flip-flops, a light cap or hat, and sunglasses. Think beach vacation with beach elegant attire for the Wedding Day and beach chic attire for dinners on the other nights during your stay.
For the men -- some of the restaurants and dining experiences have a dress code. So please bring a pair of slacks and closed-toe shoes. (The dress code is not always enforced but we want you to be prepared just in case!)
